On the board

Four PGNs from the Miquel Mas corpus with favourable or solid results for players connected to the club, replayed with the site's main viewer.

Yuri Solodovnichenko, Figueres' first board at the time, energetically converts a Caro-Kann with a passed pawn on b7.

Jordi Cuadras beats Daniel Barria in a long, technical final round. One of the strongest local games in the XI Miquel Mas set.

Javier Campos Moreno, the club's first board, holds an uncomfortable position with Black against Jordi Cuadras and earns a valuable half-point.

Jorge González, with Black, punishes White's space and converts pressure on the queenside. A clean fragment from the Mas archive.

First edition
